She served an incredible 40,000 meals in only a 10 week time period for food insecure children K-18 through the Ohio Summer Foods Program, demonstrating her dedication to using her culinary skills to help those in need. Her tireless work in this area has earned her the respect and admiration of many, and she continues to be a shining example of what it means to be a truly compassionate chef.

Food sustainability was a natural part of her upbringing, as nothing went to waste on the farm. This early exposure to cooking with fresh ingredients and an appreciation for the value of
sustainability has been a driving force in Crystal's career.

Another significant influence on Crystal's cooking style has been her family. With six sisters, one brother, and countless nieces and nephews, Sunday dinners were always grand affairs, with 30 or more people in attendance. Crystal's ability to feed large groups of people for free led her to the realization that she could turn her passion for cooking into a business.

That is where MMC comes into the picture. It started as a way for Crystal to bring her mother's dream of owning a restaurant to life, but along the way, she discovered that it was her true passion. MMC is a reflection of everything that is important to Crystal as a chef - fresh, high-quality ingredients, food sustainability, and a commitment to giving back to the community.
